Artist's Bio

Sara creates to engage a dialog; a discussion which can lead to meaningful, diverse, uncomfortable and often productive conversations. She uses every scrap of paper she has ever saved. Sara is always hunting for more images, she uses stencil work, she employs acrylic painting and textural mediums all to connect with her internal and external emotional lives. Every element has a place and every piece tells a story which can be interpreted in a narrative. Sara enjoys telling the story of each piece and the journey or message it represents, but also appreciates how each piece can be interpreted from the viewer’s perspective. She finds the discussions sparked fascinating; what others see compared to the artist’s intent. Sara believes fostering these dialogues leads to increased empathy and understanding of the intangible.
